History
Organizational Background
The Church Forum on HIV and AIDS is a coalition of the three main bodies in Swaziland, namely, Council of Swaziland Churches, the League of African Churches, and the Swaziland Conference of Churches as well as non-affiliated churches which are as the Swaziland Con-ference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Inter-national Tabernacle Ministries. It was founded in 1999 to contribute to the multi-sectoral HIV and AIDS response and formally registered in 2009.
Governance
Church Forum on HIV and AIDS is a membership based or-ganization which is formed by the three name ecumeni-cal bodies in the country as well as non-affiliated churches as aforesaid.
The paramount leading body of Church Forum is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the membership.
The Board of Director’s who are drawn as representa-tives from the ecumenical bodies and non-affiliated churches govern the institution and address issues at policy level for implementation by the Secretariat . The Secretariat is currently formed by six members of staff who are in charge of implementing Board decision and programmes addressing HIV and AIDS
